The Best Fit Girl Hairstyles + #SummerSWEATSeries Finish Line Giveaway!

Happy Wednesday, frands! I have had a whirlwind of a couple of days trying to get to Cleveland to visit my parents. Lots of cancelled flights and long layovers. Good thing I’ve had the Summer SWEAT Series to rely on for kick-ars workouts and healthy eats inspiration! #truedat Although, I’m not going to lie…a few Swedish Fish got me through an 8 hour layover in Chicago.

I am so excited for today’s post because it’s sponsored by one of my favorite brands and #SummerSWEATSeries sponsor, Finish Line – your one stop shop to everything cute that you can wear to the gym. Finish Line is where I’ve gotten my last 2 pairs of gym shoes and they’re actually the same exact make. You know what they say: once you find “the shoe,” you find the shoe. The Under Armour Gemini’s continue to be the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever put on my feet. I love how lightweight they are and their seamless construction.  You can read a whole review on them HERE.

I thought I would do something a little bit different today and share some of my favorite workout hairstyles that I wear to the studio/gym. Like shoes, I’ve got different styles for the different workouts I do.

The Barre Braid: The barre braid is exactly what it sounds like. It’s my favorite braid to wear to barre! One thing that’s great about barre is that you’re not a sweaty mess when you come out of class. AKA, you can actually wear a cute hairstyle and not mess it up during the burn! Since there’s no jumping involved in barre, I can throw it into a cute fish tail braid and be a-okay the entire time! Check out this tutorial on how to do a fishtail. It’s actually a lot easier than it looks!

The Yogi Top Knot: Ever been to hot yoga? A top knot is THE BEST hairstyle to wear when its 105 and humid. Pull everything out of your face and whip it up into a high top knot and you’re good to go for 60 minutes. This look is also great for not creating kinks once you take it down. #winning

The Fit Girl Braid: This is my sportiest look and one I wear a few times a week. I am a lover of all things HIIT and plyometric. For explosive exercises, it’s important to make sure your hair is tight and secure, but also oh-so cute! Insert —> The Fit Girl Braid. I make little more girly with a cute headband, but you can always leave that out!

The Sweat Life Messy Bun: This hairstyle is actually one that I wear quite often AFTER I workout. I like to take my hair out of whatever it’s in to make sure that it can stay kink-free. I’ve mentioned this before, but I only wash my hair about twice a week, so getting it out of its tight bun right after a workout is important! I like to find my natural part and throw it into a loose messy bun that’s lower on my head.

Thought I’d give you a bonus hairstyle. It’s one that I actually wear often —> The unibraid. Now this hairstyle is one that you need confidence for. It’s a bit on the juvenile side, but it’s SO PRACTICAL.

Monique and I each picked out an awesome outfit from Finish Line to wear during week 2’s workouts (check out her outfit here). Mine features all Under Armour. Obsessed. Take a look!
