I consider myself going through a bit of a transition. Even though I have been a self-employed, workin’ woman from my own home for almost a full month, I am still adjusting. I’ve made lots of new friends…aka I now use my plants as my soundboard.
I’ve also had to make lots of new adjustments to my schedule! Like #1 in the list below- actually taking a lunch break. Yes- I used to look forward to this hour of bliss, but now that I am working on my own business- it doesn’t really feel like work sometimes, so I just work work work all day long!
Here are 5 tips from Target (I HEART TARGET) for a happy, healthy self:
I’m obviously still working on #1 and #5 as well. Now that I am working from home full-time… I’ve been having a hard time separating work from life. It is essential to take breaks…especially a longer break in the middle of the work day! I lose track of time easily and sometimes work right though my lunch as I’m eating. As for #5- I think a lot of you can relate. That dang phone seems to follow me where ever I go. I need to start taking more breaks with less screen time.
Here’s a few more to add to this list from your’s truly:
- Eat Mindfully: Eat what and when you are craving. For me this has been essential because a lot of my work is in the kitchen. (Unfortunately I usually don’t crave veggies. More like- cereal, muesli, or granola.)
- Love Your Body Unconditionally: Instead of pointing out the things you want to change or don’t like, focus on your va-va-voom assets! Curves are gorgeous and muscle is sexy. That’s just the way it is.
- SWEAT (almost) every day: You guys know me, I am all about mixing up my workouts: yoga, cardio, weights, hiit, spin, you name it! Working out is my me-time and it really does rejuvenate myself. Rest days are almost as important as the exercise itself! I’m a 5-6 day a week girl at about 35-60 minutes each time!
Now I want to share some photos of me unconditionally loving my body! I had a fun little photo session with my girlfriend Brooke (THANK YOU B!) yesterday. The goal was to get a new headshot 😀 Here are some of my favorites and funny favorites.
Love these.
Love to hate these 😀
I’m just learning that I take more awkward photos than non-awkward photos and that I just need to embrace it 😀
